I've seen my little dude :j lots of cuddles, a little bit of inappropriate behaviour from him but I didn't pull him up on it as I put it down to him being happy to see me.
We've had a good chat, and we have a few pinkie promisesI've told my bro he needs to grow a pair and pull his mum up on it when she's yelling at him in public and allowing his 7 year old sister to swear at him
His mother sets no boundaries. She swears around him and doesn't pull him up on it when he repeats it. She doesn't treat him or his sister like the children that they are. She says things to him that she doesn't mean, but it is still hurtful to him.
I will see what SS say tomorrow and take it from there.

Morning all
Dry here, but skies are grey:(
MHOC hope you have a fantastic Birthday
QOC, sorry to read about the situation with your nephew. I was in a similar situation some years back with a niece of mine and spoke with the NSPCC help line who took a report and passed it to social services, but they promised me it would be anonymous as I wanted to be able to monitor the situation and be there for my niece through it, but they passed it on with all my details and told my s-i-l who had made the report. This really blew up and the girl went through years of hell and wasn't allowed by her mother to contact us and couldn't come to stay with us for a break from it. Sometimes you are damned if you do and damned if you don't. I don't envy your situation and truly hope you can resolve it and continue to be there for your nephew.0 -

For anyone on a keep fit schtick in the New Year and wants to include some walks in their fitness routine, there is a free walking route planner, with helpful tips, here...

also, Where's the Path

The third post (Reply 2) on the Walking Forum is a step-by-step tutorial on using Where's the Path.
I haven't tried it, but someone I know has, and recommends it.
(Oh, morning everyone, and happy birthday mhoc ... nearly forgot that:o)'It is better to remain silent and be thought a fool, than to open your mouth and remove all doubt.'
