No trains on our line at the moment, so had to drive OH to nearest underground station. Obviously others had the same idea and the journey took much longer than it should have. Now the update says they are unlikely to run trains by the time he comes home, so another trip looms.

Wouldn't mind, but he only needs to work in London once every few weeks and he just picks the day the trains are down.

    Morning all!

Well, my first M&S shop kind of worked, but I did cack it up. It cost me £12.56 for 6 'meats'.
I got the 6 meats and a single desert, went to the manned till (no SS), chose a youngish girl she put the items through, and pressed total - I had the 2 coupons in my hand doh. She said £21.30 please, but I then knew I had done it wrong, so cancelled and went back and got a £6 meal deal to go with it, went back to the same girl (she was the only one who didn't look like a trout).
This time I put the 2 coupons on top of the last item, and she scanned without pressing total.

Total was £16, so I just paid it, I then thought I'd try taking the £6 meal deal back, the man agreed, but said as I'd used a coupon I could only have £3.44 back. I just agreed as I as fed up by then.

So, a bit of a fail really.. I have one of each coupons left for next week, so will try again then.
    I Hate Jobsworths!!!
  • Likewise, tried 4 different ones and they are evil. Yasmin was the worst for me, never ever want to take them again! (Apologies gents for the overshare :rotfl:)

Also Dallas Buyers Club - don't bother!

Just catching up - and was the same for me PD. Even the micro one

Everyone has their own lines and this subject has been hotly debated on here many times before. Yes it is illegal, it's fraud. My personal line is don't do anything that could land you up in court. People have been arrested and even successfully prosecuted for this in the past.....not worth it IMO. That is just my opinion though, people can do whatever they feel comfortable with.
I don't mean that to sound lecturish, I have done things that others might find questionable, it really is a matter of where your line is :)

Thanks for those links . I don't want to open a debate and certainly don't wish to judge others, was just wondering about the facts. Now I know and I can stop being tempted .

Are both the coupons to be found In-Store Please and are people still finding supplies or are they long gone? Thanks

Always difficult to know what to do. Depends on your previous claim history too. Too many claims isn't good.

Also the moral dilemma that if you have insurance and choose not to claim, is it right to deprive your child of the money they would have got back if you had claimed?

Have never claimed before, it seems we have 5 years no claims bonus which is the max and would lose 1 year's no claims bonus if we do make a claim. Renewal is next month. I also need to read the smallprint which will surely say something about taking reasonable care of your belongings.

i am sitting here in tears. I went on a Cambridge training course last week to be a counsellor and have just failed my test. apparently cause i got 70% i cant retake for 6 months. Such a shame as I had people waiting to be my customers and had hope for a new income from it. I feel so stupid cause i got some simple answers slightly wrong. What with this and the fight with my sister I feel really down. I also have a couple of people including my building society breathing down my neck about money.

    Planing a shop for later.

    Should be good :p

    Questions for Calm Spirit please.

Tis customary to text her mid date with a foolish question.

As yet i've not been able to make her spit her drink over her date, although asking her if she still had her knickers on did come close @ last attempt :D:rotfl::D
