  • Continuing the mix up of words... My mum once ordered a side saddle with her meal. She is always asking me to get her a pint of semi skilled milk.

    some more food-related word mix-ups....

"We went to an Italian restaurant for a meal — she had ham & mushroom pizza, and I had lovely homemade lanzarote."

"I can’t stand the taste of that evacuated milk."

Totally agree, RIP Steve. I think that is a description of him that is so true and one he would totally agree with.
  • The quidco has now ended :(

Has it? I thought it was until the end of Jan, you just need to select the different news paper.

Re the missing little boy, I find the statement 'he was last seen going to bed' very sad. Surely a 3 year old should be taken to bed tucked in and a night time story read to him. The last time he was seen should have been in bed after a goodnight kiss.
So hope he's found safe & well.

It is very sad, at least they saw him in bed some children go on their own.. or sleep where they fall! Lets home the angels are out today for him x

This was pulled by Quidco this morning, option to join up through the Lancashire Telegraph no longer available. :(
  • How about spicing up your day with a bit of poetry, from Sophie Hannah's new book 'The Poetry of Sex'. This one's been expertly censored so that it's SFW (Safe For Work, no rude words - guaranteed); so if you're left feeling a bit hot and bothered after reading it … well, that's just down to your mucky mind.:o

(The book would make a great Valentine's Day gift … no wish-washy romantic cards, just get straight to the point.:))

Can't stop long so not sure if already reported.

The Boots perfume gift sets I mentioned yesterday that were only showing 50% online have gone to 70% online now still a few instock. 3 beyonce ones and monsoon from what I can see. Maybe more sorry not got time to post links.

Also I happened to pop into large Boots in town next to me and they still have most of them in stock as still only marked at half price on SEL. This is perfume and aftershave gift sets. ;)

Lady Gaga Fame 3 piece set 50ml perfume £9.60

Lady Gaga Fame 2 piece 30ml pefume reckon £8.40 (some sets scanning lower than 70% of marked price)

Beyonce Midnight Heat 3 piece £6.90 instore (online £7.05)

Beyonce Pulse 3 piece £6.90 instore (online £7.05)

Beyonce Heat 3 piece not seen instore but online £7.05

    Kylie Minogue Darling £5.98

    Beckham Instinct £5.68

Beckham Sport £4.50 (surprise this one as £25 label on gift but shows 70% discount down from £15)

    Beckham Essence £5.98

I am sure the Kate Moss and Justin Bieber ones would also scan lower instore as Bieber shows cheaper online today but OOS.

Also found the big Mark Hill hair dryer gift sets 70% off, but not marked at that. Quite a few left anyone local should realise were I went. ;) (oh and they were by the Pregnancy tests!!)
