    Evening all

Lovely to hear all of the baby news. Like Tiger I'm finding that I'm hitting 'the youngest is not a baby anymore broodiness' ;) Please somebody virtually smack me in the face or regale me with tales of awful teenage behaviour so that I stop moping :rotfl:

I'm feeling rather merry from my 'does my shoulder pain get worse with alcohol' test. It still hurts. Not any worse though that I can tell :)
I chased up my consultant appt. I'd been forgotten  Apparently I'm not the only one according to the receptionist. They can't fit me in until mid Feb now  DH is fuming. Still, if I'm worried I know what to say to get seen straight away ;)

I'm envious of Mildred's wood pile and this "bad boy" as she calls it :D

    http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showpost.php?p=61581043&postcount=2479

Most viewers don't even acknowledge the wood pile which either means they are not interested in the house/land or they don't fully understand it's importance :o

Most look perplexed when you point out how much land we have - not fully understanding what 50 acres is, people asking if they can land a plane! Can they heat the outbuildings? (Think they wanted to set up a cannabis factory) The track is too bumpy (!!!!!! it tarmac with speed bumps and a small section which is hardcore) We have had some right plonkers in the past so the fact that he appreciates a good wood pile offers some hope......

In our new house.. which I think I am going to call the 'Eventual House' or EH we are looking at the heating system, and would like to use a similar burner.... I have given the name to OH. We will have a feature wood burner in the kitchen and another one in the lounge, but need a more industrial beast are are considering it being in the utility (it is huge) or the garage. I would appreciate people's views on whether these are effective TIA x

I love a good log pile! In the EH we even have a log store built into the house it should store about one winters worth of wood, I think we have a few years supply if it does not rot by the time he gets it built! or the neighbour had not 'acquired' it.... as there is a trek to their land!
