They have been a member of MSE for much longer than me.

I'm sure they know they would be welcome to join in, I have mentioned before they should. And having met me in RL they know I don't bite. :rotfl:And I can vouch that a few others don't either. ;)

I can vouch that you don't bite, hopefully you can vouch that I don't. Lovely community.

SFSB you and your DW's reasoning is not necessarily true.

When I split with my ex I probably had every reason under the sun to do what Scamp's wife has done to him.

Let's just say I am lucky to still be here to tell the tale and I don't tell it often. :(

But as Patty said I too would be ashamed of being a woman if I did those things. 2 wrongs don't make a right. Once I had the courage to leave, I did everything by the book, even freezing the joint bank account with my not long paid in wages. (my ex was paid cash so I never saw a penny of that.)

I was quite young when it all happened but I can hold my head high and not be ashamed of/regret anything I did. I don't think in a few years time Scamp's wife will be able to.

I've never had a break up :o but I can imagine there's no such thing as a pleasant one.....whoever is at fault. But you are right, no amount of anything should stop you being a decent person. It makes your future better.

And look at you now :D :A

I totally understand this. We have family who try and control and manipulate. Luckily we are strong enough to realise that keeping our distance is best, but there have been times of extreme pressure.

I hope it all works out for you. I'm sure it helps you to know that she is "under the influence" rather than willingly be malicious.

PS ever tempted to sign her family up to dodgy magazines:D

  • Well hopefully everything is now sorted on my car, I will pop it in tomorrow with it all done for the re test. Got the exhaust fixed, obviously, so feeling better about it all. Just wish my bank hadn't taken such a hit..lol.

I went to M&S today, but didn't quite go to plan. Need to get to the one with SS tills next week and try again. I did get the £10 off, but because no ss tills I felt I had to get more stuff to make it be £25 after the discounts, which kind of defeated the whole getting the mutlibuys to use the coupon and spend less. Still I did ok, as I had a gift card to use up, so only actually spent 24p cash in there.
