    Loved this comment:
"I'll pass, can't stand the clientele in M&S. Really do think they are a cut above."
So, you'd turn down the chance of a bargain 'cos you don't like the shoppers? Now that's snobbery. Or inverted snobbery.:)

  • I avoided the sweetie/choc aisle but encountered a gang of 3 ladies with full trolleys scanning everything in sight.

So i followed them and got
Tesco 13.5 tog kingsize duvets £2.50
    Zinc reaper inline scooters £1
Bob the Builder 43 piece tool station £5
Animal hospital - snow rescue £1
    Moshlings zoo - £1
Large plastic tool box storage - £2.50

They had cleared the shelves of 50p cushions, cheap throws.

No electricals/gift sets or games but i was more than pleased with my haul

Morning. M&s trip done. £34.70, down to £10 for two meal deals. Also, it didn't ask for the coupons to be inserted anywhere and I still had them in my hand when I walked off (didn't plan for it but was juggling tigercub, my card, my vouchers and my shopping along with her shoe that she had flung across the shop!) Key is to NOT press total. Scan coupons as another item after your shopping

Good shop:) Has anyone managed to get this deal at a manned till? TIA. We have no SS tills in my local and I doubt I could persuade an SA to put both vouchers through in one transaction.

Ive got 2 weeks to go and dreading it but fortunately builder is only hear for 2 weekends to start with - hopefully boys bedroom completed by then - plastering one weekend and doors and floor the next - I live in hope.

Hopefully he will plaster over - the walls have the ancient artext - well it was very fashionable then.

So its 2 days of the house being freezing cold as builder smokes and has to visit the bottom of the garden at intervals. And constant tea making.

Our bedroom doors have frosted glass panels in them otherwise our stairway would be a black hole.

It's very cold in this house now:(
    Good luck:A

To all those having building work commiserations but it will all be worth it in the end. We had our dpc done in our little house in 80's - they had to take off internal plaster work from waist height down (I'm short :)) as person before had bridged dpg on internal wall and ingress from outside. since then have had various jobs in various houses - I always remember a builder having promised to protect carpets etc as installing a window upstairs and moving bathroom. He arrived with a stilhl saw and one sheet eek:eek:

A friend was due to have some dpg work done and I said you need to prepare for the dust - oh yes it will be fine she said. Then the phone call "You knew didn't you" ...erm Yes and I tried to tell you.... think no one believes it til they go through it.

Nerfdad and fairclaire and anyone else with builders in - sending hugs :A, strength :j and .......... patience ;).

    Can't believe the dust:o

    Good afternoon :hello:
    I'm all caught up now:rotfl:

Onto bodyshop for my birthday gift... £5 cranberry body polish. Although the sa was trying to get me to buy the £17 cranberry gift set "to layer the fragrance, that would only be £12"
I really wanted to say nice but free is better:rotfl:

I received a LYB card through the post today. No wonder they take so long to arrive. It came from Belgrade  hmmm, I need to celebrate my birthday before the sale ends;) ;) I'm after free stuff too :D

Will do a massive catch up tonight. I have only read two pages of this thread

Thanks Anon for the heads up on malted wheaties as adsa 3 for £3 - think it only interests me and you on the elite! Got 10 packs of paxo stuffing at 20p each - much cheaper than smart price. April 15 bbd so should keep me going for a year. I love Asda when they overcharge you - bought a belt reduced and got charged full price. SA very pleasant until I had to remind of her gift card! I wonder how many people don't get these when they are overcharged. I always have to ask. Got some of the tuna but dont think its bargain of the century. Also rang npower about 2 hours ago as have changed supplier and they are sitting on my £130 quid. Call waiting time 19 - 30 mins give them you number and they will ring you back. Well they rung me back but it has been now ringing for well over an hour. What customer service it that. Certainly will never return to them. Off to sainsbury as have conditional spends for £4 of 20 but I find everything is so exp in there come up without spending anything. Freezing in the south today even though sun is out.
