asda mobile. To turn voicemail off
Since changing to the new Asda mobile network last month I have been trying to switch off the voicemail service, but the information on the ASDA website where it says to phone voicemail and follow the voice prompts didn't work, (but it did use up most of my credit, at 8p per minute it soon goes down.)
I have phoned customer service on several occasions and each time was given different information that again didn't work.
However, I have just spoken to a very helpful person at Asda mobile, and have been given a solution that does work, so if you want to turn off your Asda mobile voicemail service please try:
1. key in ##002#
2. then press green button to dial number.
3. A message comes back to say the divert is off
4. No more voicemail...at last.

Thanks!
I'd just amend 3 to say
3. Watch the screen for the message "Forwarding cancelled", displayed only for a couple of seconds.0 -
Thanks, this has been driving me barmy all week.
Don't hold the phone to your ear, but just watch the screen instead for the confirmation.
I don't agree with people leaving voicemail messages which I then have to pay for to listen to ?
If it's important then they'll call me back0 -

On my outgoing message, I ask them to leave a message or send a text, if the call has gone to voicemail in the 1st place it could be that I didn't get to answer, I was out of coverage or the handset was switched off, I always return calls, that's what voicemail is for, to benefit the users.0 -
I've just done ##002#

"Call forwarding
All erasure was successful"0 -

Like others I have been cheesed off having to pay to retrieve unwanted voicemail messages and nothing Asda agents have suggested to disable voicemail has worked, however by following the instructions given by the OP I have at last been able to turn it off. I just need to disable the block on brewery and vineyard websites which are apparently considered adult content and I'll be back where I was before Asda mobile migrated to the EE network.0

Thanks it works great, I wouldn't mind having voicemail if it gave you time to answer, I never managed to get phone out of pocket before it went to voicemail!!0

Call Asda Mobile and they'll tell you how.
Otherwise, download Opera mini web browsershedhead55 wrote: »I just need to disable the block on brewery and vineyard websites which are apparently considered adult content and I'll be back where I was before Asda mobile migrated to the EE network. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. Unfortunately you can call that number ##002# as many times as you like, or disable voicemail via the call diverts menu on your phone, but as soon as you go abroad (in my case to Europe) the voicemail automatically turns itself back on. They know about the problem but have done nothing about it. I have been reporting it for 15 months or more. No joy. Every time I go abroad I get people leaving voicemail messages and when I return I phone them (call 08009 520393 otherwise you will get charged) and they turn it off again and delete the messages. I suggest you change to a different provider - I'm going to do so as soon as my credit is used...
