Mean dispatch star?

If you are pointing fairness, I should point out that DISPATCH stars relate to dispatch.
Are you saying 'if the item is x days late' you mean it was dispatched late or delivered late?0 -
Did you actually message them first?
or did you go straight to the low stars ?

Well, this is somewhat complicated.
It should be about dispatch, but unfortunately the date of dispatch is not always easy to know. Some sellers mark the item as dispatched but don't actually send it while some forget to mark it as dispatched even after sending it. Also, the date of posting is not always mentioned on the parcel.
As for eBay, I believe they mean delivery date because they promise the buyer to get the item FAST even when it's sent first class and not special delivery.0 -

It is dispatch time, not delivery date. It is unfair to penalise a seller who has dispatched item within stated number of business days. It is also unfair to penalise the seller if there are problems in delivery which are of no fault of seller.
And Ebay produce an estimated delivery date, not a promise.0 -

Both of these are unacceptably unprofessional for a business.0 -

I didn't contact them. And it was only 2* for dispatch and 5* for everything else.
I didn't feel contacting them would achieve anything as I had no interest in a refund, and they can't change the fact they dispatched much later than stated.Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0 -
May be there was a reason?
I am not trying to 'have a go ' or 'make a point'
but if some one leaves bad or disappointing stars for you in the future, with out as much as a .......
then you may reflect .........
IMHO
there is far to much angst in Ebay these days,
again
IMHO
be nice and talk/ask .......first
There are many 'not nice ' people on Ebay ...... but I would like to believe that most are still good people .......
sounds like an old advert ..... ' its good to talk'

however some times when the seller is new then perhaps some leeway could be sort ?
I try to encourage people to behave online a little more like they would in 'real ' life......
A poor example might be .......... the post was late ...... I would probably ask the Postie what had happened? and not always wait for her to put forward a reason.......
The whole Ebay star system ..... to use the politicians favourite phrase is 'not fit for purpose' ........ or at least badly implemented :-(
Anyway this is all drifting off subject ... sorry
