just to update everyone just been on our account [10th Jan] with Scottishpower it says account balance is £0.00!!! what is going on??? hopefully cheques on way, we have cancelled all dd to them, god help them if they try to take more money!! This firm is an utter disgrace, just hope our new supplier is more approachable that's the Co-op, through energy club on here.

When my SP account eventually went to £0.00 my refund was paid into my bank account a couple of days later, although they kept insisting it would have to be a cheque.


So hopefully you will soon get your money back.
Worse company in the UK and I`ll never go with them again.
Their facebook page is full of complaints but they don`t give a toss.

we went to our bank yesterday and cancelled all future d/d to these s/p idiots, the lass at our bank was very helpful and she said that if they try to take money from our account its fraud and they will investigate. Is this of any help to anyone?? By the way still no refund!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :mad:

What the bank didn`t tell you was it`s them that are responsible if an incorrect DD is taken, and it`s the bank that must refund you.

Others on here need to read this post of yours because Scottishpower have had DD off others, months after they had cancelled it. :eek:

We got our refund back today, after numerous phone calls, emails etc etc, we first asked for it back last November!!!!!! to add insult they had put on letter with chq that is a goodwill gesture!!!!!!!!!!!! ITS MY HUBBIES MONEY NOT THEIRS so how could that be goodwill????

I've given up emailing or calling their customer service team now trying to get somewhere since October. I'm emailing the directors now!

I changed over at end of November from SP to EDF.

No refund initiated by SP.

I contacted them and they said they would refund the electricity credit but they hadn't received final gas reading.

I contacted EDF who said they had done evrything they needed to. They said th ereadings go to an intermediary to verify and pass on.

I Went back to SP and said please sort it out and as I believe EDF not you, I suggest an additional amount for hanging on to my money.

SP said they had done nothing wrong but they had now got the readings and will credit direct to Bank A/C plus small sum for incovenience.


I have received electricity credit and no wjust waiting fo rgas credit.
