Want to change package (no tv, no phone, just broadband)

So, we currently have a Virgin package with TV, phone and broadband.
Our current thoughts are we rarely watch TV so won't miss it. We both have mobile phones from work with various free minutes, we don't call Internationally. So we don't really need a landline. Plus there's always Skype.
Our current thoughts are all we really need is a broadband connection to our Samsung LED TV (it has an Ethernet port on the back) for 4OD whenever we want to see C4 news, take care of emails/work and a Netflix subscription.
We're thinking this could save us a bundle in getting rid of stuff we don't need, but wondered the following:
- Has anyone done this successfully? If so, what provider(s) did you choose?
- Did you find you saved money?
- Regrets?

Only Virgin will allow you to take Broadband without a phone line. Everything else you'll need to pay line rental.0

Even if we had to have a phone line after all, if the cost savings are good and the broadband quality is good enough for streaming netflix, etc, then that would be OK.0

I called Virgin to change from BB + phone to just BB.
They offered me £5 less than BB alone to keep the phone too.0 -
As above Virgin are the only provider who can do this. Just ring Virgin ask to cancel the TV and phone - as prowla's just mentioned they may even give you a good deal to retain one or both services.0
