milk in a bag!

We sold goats milk like this in the 70's ,we bought the bags from Lakeland Plastics and we still have the electric sealer.we advised people who bought the milk to seal the corner with a Waverley clip or clothes peg but now you can use the plastic ones that seal plastic bags. ..BTW I use one of these clips to seal yeast satchets to keep it fresh between loaves when bread making...After we stopped milk production we used the surplus bags for freezing purees and stews.

The original article does point out though that even these are not as good as old fashioned glass milk bottles... glass ones can be reused and reused before recylcing, surely better than this idea of sticking a plastic bag in the recycle bin simply instead of a plastic carton?
Milk cartons do annoy me though because they are so bulky and cutting them into strips as would be the best thing to do, is sooooo time consuming I must admit that I don;t bother!Homer: I want to share something with you, Bart: The three little sentences that will get you through life. Number 1: Cover for me. Number 2: Oh, good idea, Boss! Number 3: It was like that when I got here.
