this is an excellent way of packaging milk.
BTW in most of the world adults dont drink milk0 -
Ah! if you put the whole bag in its entirety into the jug that makes a lot more sense. I might have a trip to our waitrose to see if its one of the London ones stocking this.0

When I was a kid we always used to get the little 1 pint blue bags of milk,I personally liked squishing them in my hands.Tiny things for tiny minds!
This would be a great idea if they came back out, save loads on wheelie bin space too and also the greener aspect of it too.
If I had the choice between the bags or the hard plastic carton what you have these days,it`ll be the bags everytime.Debt Free Date:10/09/2007 :j :money:0 -
I like the idea, but even with cutting off one corner of the bag I'd still be concerned about the milk absorbing odours from the rest of the fridge. I don't even like drinking milk out of a glass that hasn't been rinsed 100% properly and smells a bit like washing up liquid! It's the only thing I'm really fussy about - don't know why, always have been.0

that looks great. What would be cool is if we could all get jugs/bottles with lids like above and just bring them to our local shop and fill them up from some kind of tank. But perhaps thats a lot of hassle for folk lol0

Used to get milk delivered like this in Scotland 35 years ago - don't know why it was stopped, in fact!!!0

Amazing how the Supermarkets can make anything sound "green" when it's not. It is possible to completely avoid all plastics when you buy milk, as bottles, of course, are reusable and can be reused umpteen times, before they need to be recycled.
We seem to forget the eco-mantra of reduce first, then reuse and finally recycle.Warning ..... I'm a peri-menopausal axe-wielding maniac

I used to buy milk like this about 30 yrs ago and freeze it. when OH and boys went camping, it made brilliant 'coolbox' blocks for the pressure cooker which they also took. A couple of pints kept the bacon and sausage cool till they were ready to buy more and they used the PC for cooking!0
