Don't worry 5YP, it'll come. It's taken me years to start calling in early. I used to come on here last thing at night and post as if I was just running past the winning post.
thrifty, I'd love to say that being AF has turned me to fascinating things like your nature therapy. For me it has helped me lose weight, cut out hangovers and got rid of that horrible, grey dehydrated look in the mornings. What me, vain??;)
5 AFDs (including today) please Shaggy.0 -

Calling in 9/23 AF for me tonight. Great to see a lot of people still around after the January driathlon and welcome to our new 'lurker' too!
About the comments on feeling more tired, achey, emotional etc. after cutting down/giving up alcohol. I felt the same at first and could sleep for England! It has settled down now, in fact I started to feel better after a month or so and got energy back that I hadn't had in years - not all the time mind you. I think I needed to rein in my expectations as giving up/cutting down alcohol just on it's own didn't make my life suddenly better or transform me. Alcohol was a symptom and I used it for a reason, the reason hasn't gone away (and I still don't really know what it was yet). But I have made a step forward and arranged some counselling starting tomorrow so hope to get back on track.
But what I did know for certain (and everyone else on this site also does) is that the alcohol wasn't helping and needed to be curtailed. If that brings some unpleasant emotions, so be it, I just have to learn to allow myself to feel a little vulnerable and weak at times - which I hate!0 -
10/24 AFDs tonight0

11/24 AFDs tonight. Still waiting for a diagnosis on my water infection, because the lab lost the first sample. Another sample sent off today. Hope they don't lose this one, and I get sorted out soonest. What would you get if all you got was what you were thankful for?0
