10/12 AFDs, even though there's a glass of red wine poured in the kitchen and today was MIL's funeral. It was a sad occasion laced with lots of love and good memories. My mum and sister came along too, which might give you an idea of how lovely MIL was. By gum, I've known her for 44 years!
Tonight was anything but sad - I've just seen Bryan Ferry in concert. He may be a pensioner, and his voice isn't as strong as it once was, but he can still rock.
Can I set a target of 13 for June please. What would you get if all you got was what you were thankful for?0 -
Welcome Alchemilla! Well done on trying to tackle your drinking to help your OH. I've always been more of a "weekends and holidays" drinker too and not known when to stop at times, but this thread has helped me to cut down so much!
Pleased the funeral went as well as it could have done Satchmo! It sounds like your MIL was a lovely person and the funeral was a fitting tribute to her.
I love Bryan Ferry - always have! I went to see him nearly 30 years ago now! Pleased you had a lovely evening.
20/24 now please Shaggy. Pleased with how things are going at the moment0 -
15 please, Shaggy, ta
Bryan Ferry - I have seen Roxy Music and Bryan Ferry several times over several decades - he is still as gorgeous/talented as ever!!0 -
 Welcome alchemilla. Is your DH part of your plan or are you hoping he'll just take the hint? Whatever happens it'll make you feel better in yourself. All AF days count.:)
At least I'm doing something right this month in that scales show I'm exactly where I want to be. Must admit I was tempted to have a 's*d it' night last night as I could afford the calories:o but the power of this thread was stronger.
8 AFDs please Shaggy.
I'm out for a pub lunch today but not planning alcoholic drinks. I'm driving so it'll be fizzy water or I may go mad and have a slimline tonic.;)
This month's been difficult. Not because I've been overly tempted or drunk to excess but too many social events have sabotaged AF total. Next month I'm on holiday late in the month but determined to get my target in as early as possible. I'll have my usual 10 for June please Shaggy.0 -
Morning :hello:
No more AFDs to add as yesterday wasn't an AFD.
ShaggyxWhat do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Perhaps when we fall, it is easy to forget there are people along the way who help us stand and walk with us as we get back on track.0 -
