Can i please join up AGAIN?

I have failed at every attempt over the past few years, but please dont give up on me :(

Anyone who posts is welcome as far as I'm concerned WTBSE. If you knew the number of times I said, 'Never again ...' and within hours was swigging again you wouldn't be shy or disappointed about rewsurfacing. The trick is to keep coming back - whatever you achieve while you're posting is progress, isn't it?

Yes, we're still on the May challenge, so 31 days in total for those of us who started on the first, but there are only nine days left for anyone who starts today.

Story of my life Dizzy! All those good intentions and then circumstances always conspired to shove a glass of something scrumptious in my hand. Please, please don't beat yourself up this morning - you were aiming for 24 AF days in May and you're still on track to get there. Although it wasn't what you intended in the morning, what's actually wrong with making a Saturday night with your husband a bank holiday weekend celebration night?

That's what I thought would happen to me in the early days of going AF if I called too early. I wondered how anyone could tell they would be able to stay AF that evening because from past experience I'd very seldom managed it; that crucial 15 minutes when I sat down to eat dinner, probably five before and ten after I started eating. If I could get through those mintues without pouring the first drink I could stay AF all night. I very seldom managed it.

Which is how I know I can't go back to drinking at all because I'd have to go through all of that again, but about ten months in (in two days time) I'm so relieved I don't even feel tempted any more, although what I'd do without a few B3ck$ B1u3$ in the fridge I don't know.

    24/31 please, Shaggy.
