16/31, please, and thank you so much for my second smiley, Shaggy. I still get an inordinate amount of pleasure when I rack up another one. Congratulations on the weight loss.
I'm not losing anything at the moment, having lost the first three kilos relatively quickly after I knocked the booze on the head, and there is absolutely no doubt that I have replaced the sugar in alcohol with sugar in Twinks Hobnobs and yesterday - a bar of milk chocolate. I don't even like milk chocolate, usually, but I ate the whole thing. I'm not sure how to deal with the sugar cravings, and that's after seven and a half months (or 234 days to be precise). So, if anyone has any suggestions, I'd love to hear them - willpower alone will be a self-discipline too far at this stage I think. I tried saying I wouldn't eat extra sugar during Lent, but that turned out to be a bit like giving up booze for Lent for about 10 years - it lasted a day or two and then fell apart completely.
The good news is that the frequency of thinking about drinking red wine is diminishing to the point where some evenings even though I reach for a beck's, I don't think about why it has to be a beck's. Progress, I think.Better is good enough.0 -
Will definitely be AF tonight so declaring early on 8/14 please shaggy0

ShaggyxWhat do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Perhaps when we fall, it is easy to forget there are people along the way who help us stand and walk with us as we get back on track.0 -
