    10 please, Shaggy

So interested to see that both Shaggy and Chardonnay do the Parkruns - I did my first two weeks ago, aged 56 - although I go to the gym, do spinning etc 3 times per week, it feels like an amazing achievement to me to run the 5k. Probably not going tomorrow because going out with my sister and husband this evening, and I have to feel on top form before I can attempt it!

Sorry to hear about your Dad, Chardonnay - very best wishes that he will receive excellent treatment.

    xx

Parkrun is great isn't it Pricey? I know what you mean, it does feel like such a great achievement when you complete that 5k. I'm going on Saturday for the first time since September so no doubt I'll be wondering what the hell I'm doing running around a field early on a Saturday morning but I'm sure I'll feel great afterwards! :D Good luck if you go this Saturday!

Chardonnay so sorry to read about your Dad. I've been through some dark experiences myself in the last few years (in fact in the last decade and a half). Posting on here really helped me stay in control of my drinking, both when my Dad died two years ago and also when my sister was diagnosed with BC two and a half years ago.
So, vent here as much as you need- it really will help.

Thanks Shaggy. Sorry to hear about your dad and sister. It does sound like you've been through a tough time. I agree that this thread is great for keeping a rein on our drinking which could easily spiral out of control when we're having tough times. And you are the main reason this thread is here by keeping the scores so well so thanks so much again!

Another two AF days for me so I will now be on 11/19 please Shaggy.

Me too. I'm calling early. I may be tempting fate but I might even manage the SNC this week, even though it's half term.:rotfl:

    9 AFDs please Shaggy.
