Went to a barbeque yesterday. Lots of lovely people, toddlers and a baby, so the age range was seven months to mid-seventies. It wasn't too boozy as a result, and I left after about four hours and two AF beers because I wanted to get back to the-dog-who-pees-everywhere-new who needless to say wasn't invited. OH rolled in about three hours later, very merry, and told me he was going to a neighbours for a glass of wine. I thought, 'Really? A glass?' Sure enough, another three hours pass and a giggling molton shapeshifter slurps in, chomps my handmade ginger chocolates while telling me he doesn't like the ginger ones and castigates me for buying them, and then falls into bed. I fed him paracetemol with his early morning tea and made him breakfast in bed at lunchtime, which I think makes me a rather lovely person, even if I do say so myself. I can't tell you how much better I feel than he does! Never for a second did I feel deprived yesterday, just relieved that I knew I wouldn't feel carp today. (Apparently the neighbour woke up to find himself on their bedroom floor!)

    18/30 please, Shaggy.
    Better is good enough.

An AF Saturday for me yesterday so that's the ginormous total of two so far in June. I want to make some more progress as the year is flying past quicker than I'm racking up not drinking days.
    Have a lovely Sunday everyone.

I think the heat either helps or hinders you in not drinking. It's 31 degrees here, feel far too hot and crabby and can't think of much worse than making things worse by drinking.
HB I think you are very patient and kind. I do imagine that having a hungover person in your home would make you happy with your AF decisions. So men do have a purpose!

I was upset about the handmade ginger chocolates PSL and rather gleeful about the hangover! Bad me. And when he did surface he fixed the hose thing I couldn't be arrised to do myself, so it was worth getting him a nice breakfast.

    19/30 please, Shaggy.
