Last night was straightforward. Didn't even think about having a drink. I'm out dancing this evening so definitely won't drink more than some water and a cuppa when I get home. I don't think I have a problem with drinking as such, just a problem with breaking old habits.:o

Good. You're sounding much more like yourself, Maman. Could it be that you're tense because you have a friend who's very ill? Sobering for those of us that are that way inclined, seeking comfort with the first glass of more than we'd intended for others, if you see what I mean.
Actually, I'll brave this and go slightly further if I may; please don't be offended. You were absolutely fine until you went on holiday towards the latter part of last year and you've been slightly off-kilter on and off ever since then, sort of struggling to catch up with yourself. I can only say this because pretty much all of your posts before then were bright and breezey, always positive and always encouraging for everyone else, but since coming back you've remained as generous of spirit with everyone else, but seemed less bright and breezey in yourself. I'm glad you're feeling more positive today, and long may it continue.
((((Hugs))) Pollyanna. We've all done it and it's more likely to be having your attention distracted when you're at the machine. My favourite seems to be wearing a jacket I don't often wear, putting the card in the pocket after visiting the cash machine and then forgetting it. A few days later I hunt high and low, can't find it, cancel it, order another one, eventually dig the jacket out of the cupboard ....
16/31 please, Shaggy.Better is good enough.0 -
Not offended at all HB . I don't think my issues are to do with my friend. If anything it did me good to see how well she copes.
If you remember I had a whole load of chest infections last year. Then earlier this year I had a cold that wouldn't go away. Now I have a few other aches and pains and I think I'm just feeling a bit mortal if that makes sense.
I'm not a control freak but I do like to be in control so when my body won't conform it gets to me. I don't set high targets and when I drink it's always planned and moderate so having 2 ' s*d it ' evenings last week got to me a bit.
But you're right I'm in a better mood this week so onwards and upwards! 4 weeks today I go on holiday so something to look forward to.:D0
