Hello everyone, I'm still plugging away, it's great to see everyone making progress.
HB to me the "pink cloud " is a feeling of energy, enthusiasm and that I can achieve anything.
North Korea - I'll sort it by lunchtime. Brexit, no problem, I'll have that sorted by tomorrow afternoon. ISIS, that might take a bit longer, just give me 'til the end of the week.
You get the picture.
Last week (week 3) was a hardgoing but I have been feeling a bit more myself today. I'm sure I'll get back on an even keel sooner or later.
In the meantime, the last week of the month starts tomorrow, I have been on a phased return at work but start full time tomorrow. Looking forward to it? NO!

Good morning to all, and it's great to see so much positivity. FakePlasticTwigs you will make your target (even if you don't you can always start again), and scatterbrain I like your pink cloud. Can you blow it my way.
Was af yesterday, and declaring early today. There have been no strong urges to waste the day in a haze. My skin is looking great, even with just 11 days free.

It sounds to me as though you're doing really well, FPT, and if you're keeping up with work as it comes in, you're doing great! Ooooh sounds lovely. I like the sound of that pink cloud! Can't say I've experienced it at all in the nearly three years since I stopped drinking, but I know I thought I could do anything at a certain level of drunkeness!
I hope you find things easier now that you're through Week 3. Good luck with Soberistas - if they're anything like a supportive as Belle on Tired of Thinking About Drinking, it'll make all the difference. I honestly don't think I'd have made it without her and this thread. I'm rooting for you all the way.
Sorry you have to go back to work - bummer if you've enjoyed the freedom of being off. I could never understand colleagues who didn't take their full entitlement of annual leave when I had to work outside the home. I may be cash-poor but it's worth it for me and I don't miss the social side at all, which I realise is why quite a lot of people enjoy work.
