Don't hesitate to let me know if I've made a mistake!What do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Perhaps when we fall, it is easy to forget there are people along the way who help us stand and walk with us as we get back on track.0 -
I've a long day coming up and it's soooo tempting to plan a 'reward' at the end of it. That's why I'm on here now so that I plan a hot meal and a relaxing hot drink instead, then I can visualise it all day.

Been a tough old week;
1/ Had to put our 14 cat to sleep on Monday - miss the little thing sooooo much
2/ House sale and all of its stresses going through
3/ My lovely Uncle who has been like a dad to me had bowel cancer surgery yesterday, has had triple heart bypass in past and also has an aortic aneurism that has to be repaired later in the year, asbestos scarred lungs and is 85 years old, luckily all gone well so far
4/ Suddenly have not been sleeping at all lately and am exhausted
5/ Massive restructure at work and don't know if I will have a job!
I really felt like a drink on Monday after coming back from the vets but resisted and am still on my Lent abstinence.
Calling early with 16 AF days tonight as am driving to hospital to see Uncle so won't drink.0 -

You have done amazingly well staying AF through all that Green Karen - I'm not sure I would have had the same resolve. I remember that feeling of returning from the vets when I had to have my darling 16 YO tom put to sleep 4 years ago.
Hope all your other issues get sorted OK0 -

As you say, a tough week GK, my heart goes out to you. I only had to deal with my (nearly) 15 year old dog succumbing last week and that pushed me over.
I was, finally, made redundant from my job in November, after five years of "will they, won't they?" I think it was partly due to the stress of this that worsened my relationship with alcohol.
Hope all turns out in the best possible ways.
Shaggy, please can a mark up 6/14 for today? Thanks.0 -
