Sounds as though you're much better off without him, Diyer, but I always felt very jangly after being dumped - fortunately for me that happened before mobiles were invented. I think the janglieness was not that I missed the b*ms themselves but I did miss hoping things might work out.

I once got dumped by fax ( in the days before mobiles).
Everybody in the office knew before me.

Since we're sharing dumping woes... a few years ago I got dumped at 7pm the night before us going away for Christmas, I was in the middle of wrapping his parent's Christmas presents. Oddly enough I didn't drink my way through that heartbreak, which is not like me.

Thanks Honeybear, scatterbrain, and fakeplastictwigs for sharing all your dumped stories, so perhaps a text is not the worst way to be dumped! Bet you can laugh at the fax incident now, but it must have been mortifying at the time! And that must have been one odd Christmas.

I naturally have low opinion of men in general. When I hear about them behaving badly I find it hard to be surprised. I know not all of them are rubbish but as I get older it does seem to get worse.
And yes in time to come you do think - what was all that about definately. *im assuming it was a man, if it was a woman I would be suprised.
