Good morning everyone,
5 AFD please Shaggy.
Sorry to hear that RL is throwing lemons. Hope things improve soon.
Arkers x0 -
Evening everyone.
HoneyBear - I hope you feel better soon. I wouldn't put your feeling ill down to anything you're doing or not doing, I know of a few people who have been poorly this winter and haven't been able to shift it. Between September - February I had 3 or 4 colds and 2 bouts of tonsilitis, it's been pretty grim. I hope you're feeling better soon.
GreenKaren - I noticed that my tolerance dropped too, especially after doing Dry January. I'm feeling ropey the next morning after 2 glasses of wine now; that used to be my 'safe' cut off point for avoiding hangovers.
Well, I had a lovely weekend away in Italy, but staying AF was nigh on impossible, and to be honest I'm fine with it as I only really drank with my meals, aside from one lovely afternoon sitting and soaking up the sunshine with a spritz. At no point was I drunk at all.
Unfortunately I brought the holiday mood home with me on Monday afternoon and haven't managed to be AF the last two nights.
So I'm going to declare early for tonight with 3/20. Got lots of catching up to do if I'm going to hit target now.
I only have one more social thing planned so far for this month, next Wednesday, so I'm hoping I can get lots of AF days in and save some money. I had also better start thinking about training for the 10k I have booked for the end of May.
RIght, I'm off to go and read about the budget now
I heard very briefly something about NI payments increasing for the self employed... I'm hoping I heard wrong! 0 -
Hi all - it's been a while since I've been on these pages as my drinking had been really under control over the last few months with mid-week consumption almost totally eliminated and with only a handful of exceptions well behaved at weekends. Even Christmas was the least boozy in many years.
However, I did a few days away in Europe last weekend, got home on Monday and I still feel crappy. Still being hungover on Day 3 back is just ridiculous.
I really need to learn that going away on holiday doesn't mean that the trip automatically turns into a non-stop bender right from the moment I get to the airport departures lounge. I still want to be able to sample the local beer and wine but it would be nice to get back, remember more of what happened and not spend a few days at work unable to think straight.
Any tips on low alcohol holidays?0 -

Had a few drinks yesterday out and nice time with really good people but somehow feel quite depressed about the evening. I didn't drink too much and nothing bad happened but this morning feel really anxious that people didn't have a good time. I was kind of organising and maybe this isn't alcohol related but do feel anxious and can't help thinking I would have been more content no drinks. Not sure if I'm just used to feeling anxious morning after drinking in a large group. Which I am trying to avoid.
If anyone can relate or experiences same thing would appreciate others thoughts.2017- 5 credit cards plus loan
