Massive fail this month , but for some reason I'm thinking of giving myself a big targets , I have 3 big birthdays this month and a weekend away ,, so I will set at 16

It's sad you think you failed, LoveSale, when any day you don't drink that you would have done before you joined this thread is a real victory. I don't think it's cheating to set lower targets, get used to achieving them and then move on to higher ones, but everyone's different.

What's pleasing HB is that although I've given up I never, ever lose control any more when I'm drinking. The worst thing that happens is I fall asleep but usually I know when I've had enough and take a break with soft drinks. Fortunately even in the past I was never a loud or argumentative drunk but I was embarrassing, that much I do remember.:o Sorry that your friends were obnoxious but pleased that you enjoyed the holiday. I've only ever been to Barcelona for a day trip when staying nearby. Which building have you fallen in love with?

Have every sympathy for with your travel nightmares but not your benevolence towards the rail companies. On Sunday we went to Wembley and South West Trains, in their wisdom, although they know they had sold 14 000 extra rail tickets put on just 2 extra trains above an already depleted Sunday service. Standing for 2 hours (no fast trains either) in both directions was no joke. Especially surrounded by drunks!:rotfl:

I'd have said that the way you drink now is exactly how most people would like to think they behave. Yay hay!

As for your train journey, 14 000 extra tickets and only two extra trains? I think a stiff letter to South West Trains is in order.

The building/s were these. Their website doesn't do them justice, it really doesn't, hence the Pinterest linky. It's the first and only time I've had the feeling of being overwhelmed by somewhere. It's a world heritage site and I'm utterly in love with it - the colours, the shapes, the way it functioned, the care that's been taken over the restoration, the way you're left alone to wander about, everything. Wonderful.

Welcome WJN222 and good luck!

    1/31 please, Shaggy.
    Better is good enough.

    Happy St David's Day!

Those buildings look absolutely stunning HB. I really must go to Barcelona for a longer stay.

I'm off to a good start today, no drinking planned.

What do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Perhaps when we fall, it is easy to forget there are people along the way who help us stand and walk with us as we get back on track.

I would love to sign up for the march challenge with a target of 10 AF days please

Pushing out the MSE welcomewagon.gif for you. You're on the list and Good Luck. It might help to have an image of this when you are drinking - we call it the emergency stop button :)
