Afternoon :hello:
1 more AFD for yesterday.
ShaggyxWhat do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Perhaps when we fall, it is easy to forget there are people along the way who help us stand and walk with us as we get back on track.0 -

Woke up feeling a bit p00y today and thought, you can either go bk to the way u were and drink or treat every day as a new beginning (i.e. Not just think of I screw up, oh well, I'll start next Monday, month, year, whatever).
Had every intention of not drinking today, but then was offered a jd and Coke round a friend's hse and I drank it. And of course, once u start and it's defo not going to b a af day, might as well make the most of it. Restrained myself a little and only had two beers after, but still completely unnecessary.
Start again tomo and will attempt a af day. Weekends r defo harder though.
I know exactly what you mean Pollyanna but well done for deciding to treat each day as a new beginning. I think I have lots of times just thought blow it I'll start again next whenever and you will be amazed to hear that rarely happened :rotfl:
I have been drinking a Friday and Saturday but have 2 more AFDs for Sunday night and today. I am really trying, both nights in restaurants as I am away for work and offer of free ouzo on arrival (which I love) but resisted as I knew that would lead on to one or two glasses of wine etc. Not sure I actually feel better for not drinking - probably because I am eating everything in sight but hoping my liver appreciates the effort. Think I will try and change my target for December - sorry Shaggy to 16 AFDs in December. That way I can think > 50 % of the month I have not been drinking. And again thanks to this thread; it helps concentrate and make fewer excuses so thank you everyone who contributes and especially Shaggy for all the hard work 👍0 -
Good morning everyone,
