Can I please sign up for december. I drank too much at the weekend on what should have been a great day. I feel I ruined it and I can't remember half of it although i know i was a total mess.
I decided enough is enough. Im not drinking for the rest of november. Would like a target of 28 for December but may manage more. Im fed up of waking up regretting the night before, of missing out, not being in control, flashbacks, and wrecking my body.

11/13 for last night, but mega fail tonight (stressful day at work, no excuse I know, but at least I stopped after two large ones) which means I won't make my target for the month unless I go AF tomorrow and Friday, and Friday is unlikely as it is the start of my holiday, once I have finished work!
Need to decide a target for December. Seeing as I am not back til 8th, have my birthday, Christmas and new year I don't think it will be massive!What goes around comes around.....I hope!0 -

I would wake up again and again with a sore head, a feeling of regret and remorse, and a fear that I'd done something bad/wrong and couldn't remember. That's a horrible place for my head to be in, and I did it regularly.
There was no big disaster that was the catalyst for me to stop drinking. I jut hit a point where I was sick and tired of feeling sick and tired. The key was that I finally took action and asked for help to stop drinking. Previously I'd always tried (unsuccessfully) to stop drinking myself. When I got help and did something different, then I was able to stop (until today).
The key was for me to know that just wanting to stop wasn't enough, I had to do something different.

[Seem to have lost a post but have had 2 more AFDs so now 13/14 please Shaggy. I am also hoping tonight too will be AFD but going out with the team zi am working with this week so may be more difficult. However I am going to try because then I will have achieved my target which will feel like a success.
I am also going to try 14 AFDs for December please. Not sure how that will go but may be a quiet Christmas for us and anyway just trying to reduce days drinking must be better than the let's have some wine tonight mentality when I get in from work.0 -
Morning all. Slight headache here, which I'm miffed about as I only had one medium glass of Merlot that hubby brought home as a treat for me. I think he's impressed I've cut down so much. *polishes halo*
Haven't posted for a few days but pleased to report I'm up to 18/25. I'll only meet target if I stay AF until the end of the month, which feels a bit of a challenge TBH. We have a 50th birthday party to attend at the weekend :eek:
Anyway - December is a tricky month...Best friend's birthday, mum's 65th birthday, Christmas, DH's birthday and NYE. I'd like to set my target at 22/31 please Shaggy x0 -
