Maybe an app that takes a photo of your face and then shows you what you'll look like after a heavy night. Put your units in and see how bad it will be. Like those apps that show you what the haircut will be like before you do it.
Another one here so 3/10 please Shaggy. Sleep well everyone.
This is genius! And so, so funny :rotfl:0 -

Who knew?!
Goodness that made me laugh! I knew that I absolutely had to do something about my drinking for years before I stopped but could I get that through to my head at 8.00pm every night? Could I bu**ery!I've not found it easy this week. No real cravings but just seems like a long week. Probably a tiny bit bored after all the socialising last month and missing the wine is just part of it.
One of the pernicious things about booze that I genuuinely didn't understand is that the effect of it is cumulative. Having a really social and sociable time liberally oiled with booze means that afterwards we're bound to miss it's warm and fuzzy embrace. I honestly didn't know how to switch my Control Button back on after a hectic month or two and couldn't find out how other people did, either. It's bound to seem a bit dull, Maman, after such a lovely summer. Hang on in there - you know you can do it.

Love this! I totally am, which is still a marvellous revelation more than two years on. 7/31 please, Shaggy. My first smiley for October, and one of my absolute favourites, too. Good-oh.Better is good enough.0 -
Morning all! 4/15 for me please.0

You waited until 8 o'clock? I'm impressed!:rotfl:
I think you're probably right about that end of summer feeling HB. I'll get over it and I'll feel better when I've a few more AFDs under my belt.0 -

Me too!!
Quite understand where you are both coming from. Finding this thread very very supportive. I think its the longest I've stayed here, as in the past I've dipped in and out depending on my levels of drinking.
Now I have established the habit of checking in every day and it does help me moderate myself (most of the time!!).Live for the moment and plan for the future0 -
No more AFD's to report - have been struggling a bit this week
- just haven't wanted to say no to the odd glass of wine when offered
Have a great weekend everyone - mine won't be AF but I am determined to try harder next week0 -
Afternoon :hello:
1 more AFD for yesterday.
ShaggyxWhat do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Perhaps when we fall, it is easy to forget there are people along the way who help us stand and walk with us as we get back on track.0 -

One more for last night for me please Shaggy - 3/16
I can totally relate to the recent comments on here, but thanks to the support on here and trying very hard at Slimming World I am seeming to do a bit better. I still need to cut back at the weekends but at least I feel a little bit more in control during the week. What goes around comes around.....I hope!0
