    Morning :hello:

    Beautiful spring day here :j

1 more AFD from last night - hoping to complete a full SNC this week as I need to get my calories down and units.

What do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Perhaps when we fall, it is easy to forget there are people along the way who help us stand and walk with us as we get back on track.

Hello. I hope i am not too late to join the party!

I have been drinking about a quarter of a litre (approx) of vodka every night for the last 1 year and five months. I've gone through phases during that time, of spending the whole day telling myself I was not going to drink that night. But come 7.00 pm, I couldn't wait to open that bottle. Then i've gone through phases telling myself that as long as its not affecting anybody, then who cares?

But I'm scared of the damage I'm doing. Not to mention the weight that is piling on. Also, the disappointing look in my husband's face all the time, not to mention the comments. And the not being able to fully concentrate at work. And getting angry a lot.

Last night, without making a song and dance of it, I decided to have a decaff coffee instead of my usual glass of Voddy. Then I had a glass of water with my meal. Then after that, I had another decaff, and went to bed!

To my absolute surprise and joy, I have managed an AFD!

It had got to the point where I really thought that the only way I was going to manage, was to be locked up somewhere!

But I have done it. I'm going to try another one today.

My sleep wasn't great. I was in and out of sleep. But It must have been better than the alcohol induced sleep i've been used to, because I feel very fresh and alert this morning!
