About 18 months ago I got offered a FREE Upgrade by BT to BT Infinity - it went in all was well - people said ahh but they will hike when your contract is next renewed. I was a bit gobsmacked when my last bill came to £170 for the Qtr having been around the £130 -ish for a while, I now see a promo for 7.50 a month plus line rental of around 16 = 23.50 going up to 15 a month after offer = around 112 with VAT so should I just complain ?? or threaten to go to Plusnet? at about 12 quid a month cheaper - any thoughts??

All providers have special offers for new customers and it's rare to get them once you are hooked (was easy with O2).
You should have expected a price hike after being given a much better product at no extra cost, as this was rather like a new customer (in this case new to a product ) deal.
The best deal will almost certainly be obtained by moving.0
