Didn't take ntl long to meddle with what's been a perfectly good tariff for the last 10 years, did it?0 -
yep
been on virgin for the last 5 years and its been ideal for us being light users who usually only use our mobiles to talk to each other"we don't stop playing because we get old; we get old because we stop playing."0 -
It gets better!!!!!!
E mail I have just received from them
Hello,
From 1st July, our broadband helpline number is changing and from then on it'll cost 25p per minute to call from a Virgin home phone, plus 10p to connect. Mobiles and other networks may vary. The new number is 0906 212 1111.Even if you are a minority of one, the truth is the truth.0 -
If you have Virgin broadband you can ofset the cost of the helpline by demanding half price line rental.
If you are out of your minimum term you can phone them up with details of a special offer and say you will leave if they don't reduce your tariff. I've got mine half price for 6 months (and have had half price for nearly a year already using the same technique!). I always threaten to leave for Sky broadband - they've given up telling me how far away I am from the exchange now and just give me half price when I ask for it.0
