my sister took out virgin media package from a sales person 2weeks ago

and she got told free install and half price for 3months

she got a bill saying £120 with install

but she rang virgin saying she got offered free install from the sales person who sold her the package and they saying they never offer free install but funny enough it does online

so can she cancel without paying anything and tell them to take there stuff back because she didn't agree to pay for full wack

and virgin are saying she started the contract on 9th December when it never got installed till 28th

I think virgin are digging a hole of lies to avoid her from leaving

if they still avoid her from cancelling will trading standards be any good

Was it Virgin sales or some other not a Virgin sales person third party ??. Selling a product often in a mall or the like or even door to door but not actually working for VM .

Evidence of this free install and free 3 months on the initial sales ???

Be very careful with Virgin, they'll destroy your sisters credit rating in a heartbeat.

Unfortunately, unless your sister has something in writing, she will be hard pushed to prove anything.

An email to the Chief Executive complaining about the selling techniques might get some sort of goodwill gesture.

What paperwork did the door-to door salesman give her when she signed up?
