From EE Contract To 1 Month/PAYG (EE F&F Discount)
Hey,
Just looking for a bit of help, my contract is up on mine and my partners phone at the end of Feb. We're currently with orange (EE), Were just going to keep our phones and go on to either a 1 month rolling contract or PAYG. We both need at least 1.5 - 2GB of data until we get the internet in our home which won't be until another few months once we have moved.
I've had a look at that guide at the top of the page and come up a few options of 1 month rolling contracts.
PAYG Orange Dolphin
Top up £15 - 600 Free Texts & 2GB Data.
1 Month Virgin (EE)
£15/Month - ULD Mins, ULD text, ULD Data.
GifGaf (02)
£15/Month - 500 Mins, ULD text, ULD Data.
(Seen this on there website don't know if it's a 1 montly contract or you just top up £15 a month)
Is there any other deals on PAYG or 1 month rolling contract that I have I missed?

I think you've probably got the best offers there that suit your needs - but just be aware, you're not allowed to tether on any of those packages, the data can be used on your phone only - so not really a substitute for home broadband.
Giffgaff do offer packages that allow tethering etc. (not sure about the others) so if that's what you need it for etc.etc.0 -
Thanks for your reply, we won't need tethering as we will only been using the internet on our phones only. I'm looking at these options as I don't want to be tied down in another 12/24 month contract.
Does anyone know if the GifGaf one above is a 1 month rolling contract by DD or just top up £15 a month ?
Many thanks.0 -
For giffgaff - you just add credit - and then buy a goodybag (which credit pays for) each month. You can have a pot of credit if you want to work it like that, and then just queue goodybags up to auto-renew.
I usually just keep enough credit on my account to be able to buy the next goodybag - and topup when needed.0 -
How much free mins you need?
three
Ultimate Internet SIM 200 1 month £12.90
All-you-can-eat data
200 minutes
5,000 texts
If you need tethering, I believe you can go for three the one plan
The One Plan 1 month SIM £18
All-you-can-eat data
2,000 minutes
5,000 Three-to-Three minutes.
5,000 texts
From my memory, Giffgaff allow tethering for £10 plan with 1GB data. I don't know if they changed.0 -
Decided to ring Orange to see what the best offer they could, my contract doesn't run out till the 1/3/14.
I have been a customer for over 5 years and also have EE friends and family discount the best they could offer me was
ULD Mins
ULD Text
3GB Data
On a one month rolling plan for £19 a month.
I was hoping for a bit of a better a deal and maybe knock down the minutes and texts for a better price, but they say they are unable to change the minutes.0 -
Since you specify a data requirement your first job should be to identify which networks offer good 3G or even 4G where you live. Once you know that you will be in a better position to look at new contracts.0

You've still got 2 months of your minimum term to go. Call them in 7 weeks and ask for your PAC and they'll probably come running with a better offer.
Your contract isn't up at end Feb, only your minimum term is.No free lunch, and no free laptop
