    MAF sensor
    Blocked fuel filter
    Intake system leak somewhere
    Engine mounts ( less likely)
    Save in 2016 challenge!!!

  • Ah, this is known in the trade as a cyrus virus: you need to hit the car with a wrecking ball. Oh, sorry, you said Jerking :D

    Try spraying WD40 over the leads to dissipate moisture and check for arcing inside the distributor cap. It could be a lot of things; contaminated petrol, clutch snatch, filters....

    Start with the cheap and easy suggested remedies in case they work.
