Asda Mobile Credit

Hi Folks,
I have two old sims with Asda Mobile, one with just over £10 in credit and £7 on the other.
From what I understand I lose this credit immediately if I go to another provider, and only have to the end of April 2014 to use this?
If I move over to the new EE network I also lose the credit?
Many thanks Paul

No: from their FAQ's.
'If you still have credit remaining by this date, don't worry, we'll provide you with a refund in either free credit to use on the new Asda Mobile service or an Asda Gift Card to spend on anything you like. We'll contact you nearer the 30th April 2014 with more details on this. If you're unsure if this will affect you or not, please contact the Asda Mobile Customer Services Team who will be happy to help'.
Obviously if you port to another provider now, you will lose any remaining credit, as you would with any PAYG provider. And you still have 4 months to use up your remaining credit. No free lunch, and no free laptop

I have quite a lot of credit on my Asda mobile and was pleased to see the following quote in this post.

However, when I look on the Asda FAQ page, it says all credit will be lost if not used by the end of April 2014.
I have emailed Asda with my query but have not received any reply.
Does anyone know what the situation really is?0 -

Consensus seems to be that
1. you wait until April 30th & reclaim unused credit, but you then lose your phone number & have to start again with a new number with whichever provider you want to use
2. You port your number over to EE within ASDA before April 30th & lose any remaining credit when it transfers
3. You port your number to another provider & lose remaining credit likewise
4. You donate any remaining credit to charity, port to wherever you want to go (ASDA/EE or any another service) & still get to keep your number.0
