Apparently they are now evicting the Eastern European families they were previously replacing the evicted single mums with because they have dared to have more than one child. Multi generational families are being S21'd as well if its found a grandmother is moving in.

“I asked my agents to let me know how many calls were received from would-be tenants yesterday? Answer: 81. How many were from east European or overseas? 71. How many had children? 15. How many were on zero contacts? Nil. How many on housing benefit? Seven. How many houses available? Three.”

These two really are manna from heaven for anyone who wants to see tenancy reform. They are walking billboards for Rachmanesque reform on a structural scale.

Hopefully when it comes, and come it will, it will sort large landlords out and wipe out a lot of the smaller parasites and their operations.

I cant work out if the Wilson's are geniuses or complete idiots, it cant be both.

From what I read they entered 2008 with immense loans with Mortgage Express and negative equity

So ME made sure they didnt default by dropping their rates to next to nothing and ignoring the fact their asset book was worthless.

Is that clever, lucky, stupid? They certainly demonstrated the adage that if you owe £1000 and cant pay it back its you that lays awake worrying, but if you owe £1,000,000 its your bank manager.

And in today's Kent Messenger newspaper he is setting up a millionaire's social club at £50 per monthly meeting, where the likes of Geoff Hurst will entertain you. His marketing pitch is "if they turn up and don't get £50 of business out of it, then they shouldn't be coming."

Either he has someone full time releasing these stories to The Kent Messenger to raise his profile, or the reporters know he is always good for a preposterous oafish quote or two. My guess is the latter.

The Wilsons are nothing like Rachman. They are not nice people on the face of it but they're nothing like Rachman. Rachman ripped the roof off someone's property to force them out! Rachman was a gangster.

If I was a BTL LL then I'd be pretty concerned that the Government was going to regulate my business into much worse shape. The larger a proportion of the population rent, the more likely it is to happen.
