I have no debt, Mr Wilson has loads, and he can`t sell his slum properties to pay off his masters (bankers) I am very jealous (not) :rotfl:

Sounds more like envy on your part.

Some people are just unhappy no matter what their circumstances are. Saying that, I guess it's better to be unhappy and rich than unhappy and poor?

Plans for 6000 new homes in Ashford got the green light this week.

for ashford that is a lot as it has about 30k homes at the moment.

Guess it depends on how quick they come to market but it should mean HPI would be lower than it otherwise could be

My 12 year old daughter has no debt either, but doesn't come close to having the sorts of assets Mr Wilson has. I'm struggling with your logic on this discussion as much I am on the other thread.

    I know you are.

It's also very, very unpopular locally, I gather. The local rag makes the position pretty clear:

Those extra 6000 homes are so totally going to spoil the quaint 30000 home bucolic village of Ashford.

30000 was the perfect number, but now nobody else possibly needs a home.

Ashford is a bit of a dump already, I agree.

It does seem, though, that they could have built a lot of those houses on brownfield land rather than green.
