Wow to a Yellowhammer Greying - that's quite a spot! Never seen one of those at all and would have had exactly the same "take a snap and look it up" reaction as you did!

Nope, there will definitely be no exhibition - even the thought makes me shudder if I'm honest. I love the photography I do, and I'm happy to work flipping hard actually taking the photos - as I had to the other day for example - and with the processing of them, but once there starts being any level of serious hard work required, I want none of it! :p Absolutely no point in me looking to do stuff that will just rob my enjoyment of it!

Right - have managed NSD's 3 days this week so far I think, and today will be another too as I have no intention of leaving the house for the rest of the day. As some of you will realise I also DID end up working half a day today - some seriously sticky brown stuff started heading at speed towards a wind-displacement device, and I was asked "could I..." so I agreed to do 3.5 hours - for which I'm invoicing £50. Enough to make it worth it that! That money though is going to go straight into my bank when I'm paid and will help to offset some of the costs of my rather hectic July! :D

Momentarily thrown off track by reminding myself that I owe a chum for a birthday present she arranged for a mutual pal - but sorted that with a money-shuffle from the Present fund. Am 15p away from a cash-out on OnePoll, so hopefully will get there within a few days, and have just had £9 land in my PayPal from another survey site today.

Purse is now empty as it paid for MrEH's Birthday Indian Takeaway last night, but that will be being refunded from joint funds.

Well..............I think it was a Yellowhammer, going by the black markings on the face. What do you think?

(Apologies for appalling pic quality, it was too far away for my point and shoot to deal with, and the enlargement facility gets you closer, at the expense of quality :o)

And actually, what you can't see too well on this version, but is more apparent on the original, is the white blades on the tail feathers.

Certainly has that look Greying - the yellow marks around the face and the top of the head tie up with the images on the RSPB site rather well, don't they. Nice catch! (And trust me, we've identified birds from far ropier pics than that in the past - that's a good one as ID shots go!)

I passed on belated birthday greetings Stripes - thank you! :D

I'm on my final working day this week which is rather a good thing as it's been somewhat stressy here these last few days...a few things going on.

LOTS planned for the weekend too which will be fun - I'm off to Claire's tomorrow morning first thing, then we're heading to Scampton to watch (and photograph, obviously!) a Red Arrows practise session. The afternoon is a bit "up in the air" at the moment as we're waiting for someone else to confirm some plans, but then it's pub tomorrow night, some more photographing of planes on Friday, and Waddington Airshow on saturday/Sunday. I'm hoping to be able to carry on my photo project with the Reds planes/Engineers etc on the ground on Sunday too - although that will depend on where on the site they are lined up.

MrEH has had a payrise confirmed so there will be some more money going across to the mortgage account from next month...plus an increase to his personal money and a small increase to mine as well (which is lovely of him).

That £20 is still sitting intact in my purse, as is the £30 in the bank, and I should be getting my invoice paid later today by the sound of it. Hopefully if I take out what is in the bank and add to what is in my purse that will cover the majority of the next few days spending - allowing for the money from my "Airshow Treats tin" covering the odds and ends I want to buy on site on Sunday. Claire is currently insisting she's taking nothing from me for petrol but we'll see about that - if nothing else I'll get a Tesco giftcard for her.

I finally cashed out on OnePoll at the start of the week too :j:j:T - so there will be £40 winging its way to my PayPal in due course. The £9 I got into there last week from another survey site has already gone again as I got some photos printed at the weekend and Photobox helpfully take PayPal these days. :D

She's on twitter greying so she is still alive. Whether or not she has run off with a Red is another altogether ;)

I thought she got one (a Red) for her birthday. :D

Mr EH is terribly tolerant type of chap and a good egg to boot.

I hear she's burning the candles at all ends so RL is interupting most of her VL.

She'll be back when the season calms down. After all there's no show without punch :T

And you two up there ^^ get off her nasturtiums and stop jumping up and down.

Oh, oh well then why not but lets not make a mess and no beer for me thank you.
