Hi I am new here so sorry for interloping but it's such a nice thread, very inspiring. Great ideas from everyone and really helps me focus.
1. Checked banking and re-wrote budget
2. Phoned Tesco Savings and managed to get access to my very old savings account - withdrew £600.
3. Cancelled Amazon Prime account attracting a refund of fees!
4. Found an offer on my travel tickets (am going to Paris next week) for 2for1 entry into museums, pleased with that !
5. Ate what I had in the house
6. Used Netflix bearing in mind I've paid for it.
7. Sold something on ebay - updated £10 a day challenge thread
Sadly the bread I bought in the week in Farm Foods is already stale and I think I ate a slice of green bread last night without looking. I am going to have to go and buy lunch in a supermarket tonight (I am nights so lunch is at about 1am!) but I am going to buy makings rather than made and then I can make more lunch tomorrow night).
Very excited about being a DFW. Look forward to reading your ideas! xDFD - 26th March 2014 :j0 -

Evening folks,
Thanks to Josie for starting the thread, hi to all newbies and hugs to those that need them.
I've had a bit of a productive day....I've not left the house and generally chilled out today.
Today I have/will (not in any order)- Meals from stores
- Had a dinner party so much cheaper to have people over than go out.....although we worked out that 7 chairs around the dining room table could be described as 'cosy'
- Curried/tika chicken currently marinating overnight.....will use the chicken in sandwiches for work
- Worked out how many soups I've got in the freezer - 3 not quite enough for a weeks worth of lunches
- Checked online banking
- Checked lottery ticket -won £2.90 on last nights lottery
- Re-invested £2 on Tuesdays lottery - you never know
- Had an NSD
- Rad papers online
- Registered reward points for our buttery spread....we buy the product anyhow so may as well benefit
- Read some info on making resolutions stick !
- Watched Martin on catchup tv
- Watched bits n bobs on the sky box
Love to you all

Good morning people! :j:j:j
This has been a lovely weekend to ease myself back into the working week. Two days on, two days off then back to routine tomorrow
Today this is me:-
- Checked banking
- Update budget as OH put £25 fuel in my car
- OH cleaned car yesterday instead of me paying the hand wash £7
- Signed up for L0vefilm yesterday from house account, £5.99 for the first three months with £15 cashback tracking
- DD is watching Tangled on it now
- Take down tree and decorations today
- Shorten livingroom and bedroom curtains, use a couple of 2 pences as curtain weights!
- Encourage DD to tidy her own bedroom as she's 6 now!
- B/L/D from stores
- DB2 & GF arriving later this evening for tea, cooking a cheap and easy chicken curry for us all
- Sign into LinkedIn to see if I can retrieve a message I accidentally archived last night. Once retrieved, reply to it again as I'm not sure it went through... This could be the smallest thing I do today that has the biggest impact
- Make a week's worth of healthy wraps for my lunches and breakfasts to keep me on track!
Love to you all, no doubt will find more small things throughout the day.
JxNothing to report as yet...give me a minute...!0 -

Dreading going back to work tomoz. We have salary review and I don't think I'll get a raise as I've not met target for 2013 (to be fair I don't think most people have as it's been a tough year) so just hoping that I won't get a cut. It's really worrying not knowing what end of months pay will be especially as things like health insurance etc have gone up meaning my expenses are increasedI want to be a writer0
