aaah another place to visit in future... I am in a very 'get on and do it' mood today! So my list is:
Cancelled English Heritage and receive pro-rata refund
Cancelled Boris Bike and requested pro-rata refund
Put things in the loft to start work on hubby's study
Gave loads of baking ingredients to friend so they are used vs. stay stuck in my pantry until they go out of date! :rotfl:
Driving to friends tonight and not drinking (save on Taxi and help with weight loss!)
Completing PPI forms for PPI from very old loan (fingers crossed will work out and pay for some of the home renovations!)
That is about it for me - I am also reading a book (again) called "The New Spend Less Revolution - 365 tips for a better quality of life while actively spending less by Rebecca Ash" - some good ideas and tips!Well lets see - I dip in and out of MSE all the time but I still come back - have done since 2007!!!

            Hi Weekend Savers,
What a grey soggy day! Never mind, reasonably decent day on the money saving front so far:
-Grocery shopping came in £10 under budget, despite buying an extra chicken for the freezer, which is a good start to the month.
-Was given voucher at Co-op for £5 off next shop (£20 minimum spend).
-Bought nice jumper in Monsoon sale. Half price so still have some money left on my Christmas gift card.
-Bought birthday present for M-i-L using our Presents piggy & some small household items using our Household piggy. Am getting used to using our new piggybanking system now. In fact, must check how the Holidays piggy is doing towards the balance on our week in Wiltshire. It feels more controllable & focussed using our 6 piggies, rather than just hitting our bank account every time.
-Heating off for as long as poss.
-Meals as per meal plans - turkey chilli I batchcooked last week,
-Relaxation planned for rest of day - reading, knitting & 2nd series of 'The Bridge' starting tonight :-)
Well, apart from the massive 5p of roadkill mr f found in the carpark, which is now in our change jar, that's it from me.
 Cheers from the soggy Midlands,

What is with this weather?! Yuk!!!
I've not had a great MSE start to year but as have said on my diary thread it's cos I'm starting running again after 22 years and there's certain things I need (not spent on gym equipment in years so def need an upgrade now that I'm doing 6 times per week!
 So today have/will
-been for run (free other than petrol to get me to running site)
 - had lunch with friends (not very MSE but wanted to see them and was healthy)
 - bought protein powder (not budgeted for but by one get one for a penny so effectively half price and protein v important off hew lifestyle)
 - bight running gear (again not budgeted for but needed for my new venture and all were 70% off)
 - dinner from stores (steak and green beans)
 - staying in tonight watching a pre-recorded movie so no spend there
 - heating off until later
 Today I successfully resisted:
 - Costa (despite really wanting one)
 - buying new pjs - cos no one to see them anyway bar me and the cat!I want to be a writer0

            Hi Everyone
 Today I have:
1: Not used my debit card just the money I had in my purse.
2: Bought new bus/train passes for myself, DS,DD1 and DD2 cost £54 but still cheaper than if I paid cash for every single journey we'll be collectively be making over the next 7 days. When I get paid on the 15th will be buying monthly passes for the kids and hopefully although this may not in fact happen until February a yearly pass for myself.
3: Spent the Bonus Bond I found in my jewellery box at Iceland. God knows how long it had been in there. I was worried they wouldn't accept it but no problems at all. So that was £5 saved.
4: Treated myself to a new top from M&S using gift vouchers I'd been given by my mum and dad.
5: On arriving home from town put all loose change into money boxes and updated budget apps on phone. I now have the grand sum of £3.30 in my purse!!!!loobylou2.Proud to be dealing with my debts and aiming to sort out the mess in 2013!!!!:eek:0
