Just received an email from Mr Morries offering £10 off £80 spend this week - that would be half my monthly budget nearly!!!
Sent a noughty email back saying so.
Rather discriminatory to smaller households isn't it - makes it sound like they only encourage you to shop there if you spend a lot!! Stopped doing their saver thing last Christmas as had to buy too much stock cupboard stuff to take advantage.
Definite Mr Al*i convert now.July 16 £95/£200
Nov 16 £0/£200

£154 spent on the big monthly tesco shop delivered last night. £40 in a separate account for fresh stuff over the next 4 weeks. With a bit of careful meal planning that should be all we need and should come under budget. Fingers crossed!0

I don't even get the A1di vouchers as I'd be hard pressed to spend £40 in one trip (don't have enough space to store what I already have in properly, and I'm trying to use a lot of it up in order to get my house in some sort of order). I've even stopped using most of the £x off £xx spend ones I receive with c1ubcard vouchers from Mr T unless I need something major for the house (used a £6 off £60 to get some new pans last year, and I think it was a £4 off £40 went towards some nice cliplock boxes for using in the freezer when I've batch cooked)Cheryl0 -
Hello, Sorry I haven't been around lately. Had to go on work trip.
****
Haven't had a chance yet to catch up on thread as still working my way through February posts!
******
Spent 86.64 of budget so far.
Shouldn't need anything else at all apart from bread/milk.
Fingers crossed this should see me through as have about £65 for everything - petrol/socialising/food until end of March/

I got the email yesterday. You need to spend £80 this week in order to get £10 off an £80 spend next week - so you need to spend £150 in the store

Thanks CW I must have misread it - that is even worse.
I don't spend enough in Mr T to get any money off vouchers now!!!!
Any other vouchers for money or points off items I use only if I need them. Have a pound off 800 g mayo but already one in the cupboard and one in use.
The other vouchers we have started quadrupling and use for meals out. It does for food only in Ask, Prezzo all sorts of places. Also planning on using them for a trip to Portsmouth as all the dockyard things are on offer so will make it a cheap trip.July 16 £95/£200

Made a lovely veggie stew this morning and there's bluming LOADS of it. Should keep me going for about a week as I have no more room in my freezer. It is sooo tasty though - getting through it is a hard job but someone's got to do it!0

Just done a freezer stocktake and can't believe how much food there is n there!

Planned out the next three weeks based on what I have although I put a few 'new' bits in as w have a lot f mince based meals e.g. Chilli, bolognaise etc!
Yesterday- chicken burgers in buns with salad and homemade (so yum! Neve had this before and so cheap! We will keep this for a treat night!
Friday- pasta
Saturday- hm pizza, garlic bread and salad
Sunday- casserole/ bolognaise. I can't actually work it out so this will allow me the afternoon to decide and either do pots or spaghetti!
Monday- jacket pots and chicken
Tuesday- hm pie and pots
We'd- fajitas
Need to buy- peppers, onions, ham, garlic bread, salad, veg, wraps!
So that's the main meals sorted! I'm hoping my spends will be low this month so I can put some money away in savings but I also might stock up on a few essentials like nappies, cat food and wipes. I bought loads of washing powder and dishwasher tablets last week!Grocery challenge-

Good morning lovely people!
Last day today and first biggish shopping tomorrow between Tesco and Aldi.
I am doing roast beef for the first time so if it goes wrong I will jeopardise a few following meals!! However, here is my dinner plan:
SAT Roast beef
SUN Broccoli and Stilton soup (will freeze leftovers)
MON Beef stir fry
TUE Eggs on toast + baked beans
WED Chicken Egg fried rice
THU Cottage Pie with steamed veg (will make portions on Sunday for the freezer)
FRI Beef and mushroom stroganoff (will make portions on Sunday for the freezer)
I am not entirely sure about freezing the beef and mushroom stroganoff as I haven't found enough reassuring info about it on the internet.
Perhaps I will tempted to post the shopping list I must stick to...or I might spare for this time!0 -
Hi i am really trying to be organised just planning next weeks meals, lots of meat in freezer on YS items yesterday.
I have ordered two Pre-paid mastercards one for petrol and one for food / toiletries etc for me and my husband. These arrived today .
The plan is i load how much i need to use on the cards , keep some cash in house to cover Ald* shop and fresh veg off market and milk.
And when its gone , its gone.
