    Hi again.

I am afraid I caved. I found it too difficult. I know I should probably keep going but have had a lot going on with decorating and it being my birthday!!

I know I should try again probably but I shall have to plan better the next time!

Why don't you try now? Today was my first day, we can share tips and encourage each other.:)
This pm had a banana smoothie with almond milk that's better than milk for me (because it didn't froth as much), tasted really lovely. My OH who doesn't like milk is now having it with cereals for breakfast, so that's a good thing that will come out of this regardless of the outcome. :j

    Thanks for this!

I think I will have to start on weds because I have no dairy free stuff in and unable to get any until then.

It is so difficult to try and think of things to eat without dairy! Last week I just had roasted veg and salmon or prawns but got a bi bored and then had it with feta cheese and chilli sprinkles!!

Meat, veg and fruit are all dairy free! The one thing that is my downfall is chocolate but if I don't walk down that aisle I don't see it!
Have managed since end of July, including Christmas and a cruise and I don't find it difficult- just more expensive. (mainly the cost of the soya yoghurts) Incidentally the soya yoghurts have calcium in them.
Being polite and pleasant doesn't cost anything!

I tried just swapping to lacto-free and almond milk for a month and did find that I felt less bloated. Can't say I found much more though, my skin hadn't improved.

Thanks, I know, I know! I am not keen on meat and fruit and veg cripple me with wind so I have avoided them. I have been making more of an effort with veg this last week though and it still causes me pain and wind but I suppose it is better than eating rubbish!

I only swapped the normal milk for lactofree and found this good but admittedly didn't cut it out completely!

FODMAPS may help, it's a list of foods that can cause problems if you have IBS (but I wouldn't do it while you are doing DF, or it gets confusing).
My plan is to try DF, then if it doesn't help DF & gluten free, if that doesn't help either I will switch to FODMAPS. After that I will eat just BigMacs for two weeks as they give me much less problems than the soup I just had....

I'm not going to have to change much, this week I'm going to have grilled chicken with grilled peppers and courgettes (or grilled tofu instead, I'll see), Jambalaya (need to check if the chorizo is dairy free first), chickpeas and cauliflower curry, and also a stew with turnips etc.
Baked some lovely bread in the bread machine.
For lunch I have lots of soup in the freezer, plus some ratatouille with chickpeas, so I'll be OK.
Don't think I'm going to miss dairy much for these two weeks (crisps are dairy free, and I like provamel choc dessert so that will help ;) ).

Do you know i am so glad you said that about big macs! I feel like when I say i eat toasted buns and butter or crisps etc, people think I am just making excuses to eat rubbish but the truth is, 'healthy' stuff hurts!! (And smells - sorry)!!

I am very overweight and need to get rid of some but find it so difficult to eat the healthy stuff because of the pain it causes! So I end up eating crap that is fine short term but obviously offers no real nourishment.

I may have to come and stay for a fortnight! All that sounds yummy!
