What is a yuuwoo dongle and where did your "friend" get it from?1. Have you tried to Google the answer?
2. If you were in the other person's shoes, how would you react?
3. Do you want a quick answer or better understanding?0 -
Sorry should be wuu waa.0

As of January 3, 2014, the YuuWaa service has ended, with the website displaying the message "We are sorry, YuuWaa as [sic] come to an end."
Just a little too late.0 -
Is that why I cant use it?0

You can't use it because it no longer exists, whatever data you had stored is now gone.Understeer is when you hit a wall with the front of your car
Oversteer is when you hit a wall with the back of your car
Horsepower is how fast your car hits the wall
Torque is how far your car sends the wall across the field once you've hit it0 -

As I read this, the YuuWaa USB drives were like a normal USB, but with an additional cloud backup.

Although the cloud backup side is clearly gone, perhaps the data was also stored locally on the USB stick, and there's something the OP can do to retrieve it?
I'm no expert in getting data from a USB stick but presumably others on here will know more than I do.
Edited to add - I also notice this on the link:Under Windows 7, which is not yet officially supported, you have to locate and launch the YuuWaa.exe file yourself when you plug the device in.
Maybe this is linked to the issue? Assuming of course that the USB drives on the link are similar to what the OP has.0 -
Only used last week.
Here today, gone tomorrow.
Hopefully that wasn't the only copy of your data, or if it was, there's nothing you need there. By all means use cloud storage as a backup, but never rely on just one instance of data - anywhere.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the In My Home MoneySaving, Energy and Techie Stuff boards.
