I got a couple of Council parking/speeding notices after I sold a car, one was two months after I sold it. I just sent them back to the Councils and told them to re-refer them to DVLA.You never know how far you can go until you go too far.0

Not your car not your problem - ignore.0 -
ignore is almost always a silly idea, especially in E+W
so if its E+W (which Worcester clearly is) , send in a soft appeal and deny being the RK on the grounds that the car was sold and the DVLA informed 10 days prior to the "incident"
refer them back to the DVLA from where they obtained your details
be pro-active in this case, not sitting on your hands in the dark, hoping it will "go away"0 -
Are you serious Wiogs? You never know how far you can go until you go too far.0

Afraid not Deep. Ignoring is not in your interest. It will appear to the authorities you are evading justice.
As for Parking Eye, somehow it would be a good idea to let them know you sold the car but that you REFUSE to name the new owner, a) it is their problem and the information will be released in due course, b) you could say you do not believe in the nature of the demand as it obviously does not reflect losses therefore you worry you might be breaching data protection since you suspect this to be a harassment campaign.0 -
this is what can happen if you were to ignore it, even though it was cancelled eventually

better to tell them from the very start instead of having all the hassle caused by IGNORE0 -
DVLA should have sent you a letter detailing the change of keeper.
If you do not have this, you are in deep poo, not with parking eye, speed cameras with DVLA, councils, Baliffs and you name it as someone is driving around in a car registered in your name.
I did here of one car dealer who advertised on facebook pages refusing to buy cars unless he gets all the logbook and some obliged and now wonder why they have half a dozen parking tickets to pay.
If you do have the letter, send them a COPY as an appeal and place them on legal notice you shall be seeking redress at £45 per hour or part of for any time spent dealing beyond this "courtesy letter / appeal"Be happy...;)0 -
well i presuming what with xmas and all the dvla have been slow although it is a 3 week turn around usually on log books, so i gues ill have to wait it out,
but i have appealed and informed parking eye, that i had sold the car and also sent them copies of ebay emails stating the buyer was due to collect etc. i guess these companys buy recoreds off dvla at certain times of the year not as and when they catch someone, so they could have old records anyway???0 -
I believe your guess is incorrect
I believe they access the dvla live database, or ask the dvla to do so, so when they did that its clear the dvla gave them the currently registered details, which were yours
this means the dvla either had not received your changes, or had received them and not got around to changing them,, hence your current problem, obviously the xmas break did not help you either
clearly PE should query this with the dvla to get the correct RK details, once entered
your soft appeal is now registered and they have 35 days to deal with it0 -
so what if dvla havent received it whats the next step for me??
luckily i sent the logbook from my work using a tracked courier so i have proof delivery and signature to proof dvla have it0
