You could have gone to the Citizen's Advice Bureau (which is just one example) for free help with filling out the forms.
Which begs the question of who actually filled out your complaint form?

Only if they lazy and dont mind throwing money away.

Why not fill the forms in and send them direct to the lender/seller and avoid 33% (plus VAT).

Why not slag CMC's off? You people who judge CMC's are a joke, Its like any service you pay for in life. Yes it is easy, Yes its not hard, but not everyone is like YOU. We also claim thousands of pounds back for people that were unaware because the banks are not honest, so we are hardly the bad people out their are we?

I used them, yes your right it's money I'd giving away. But I'm not good with paper work. I had at look at the info on here and I didn't under stand it so I used owl, on one claim I got back just over £2500 , I've still got two more claims in, so I need to pay them a lot of money, but how I see it is it's money I never had, so I have still won, but not as much as I would of done. I don't have anyone to help me with paper work so that's why I used them, yes they do rip people off in my situation, I have a mental health issues and I'm dyslexic, so it's not as easy for me. But I still got some money that I can put in the bank , just not as much. :T :rotfl: :money: :money: they going to ring me next week when cheque has cleared.

You answered your own question, you are not good with paperwork, so you got help like any service and in your situation you still got money out of something you wouldn't of done yourself, so stop complaining about it!

If Owl knew that when the put your complaint in, then they should have told you that would be the outcome. This gives you grounds for complaint against Owl if so.

This isn't a CMC error it is a lender problem. Every individual case is different and if they decide to take it off the balance then there is nothing a CMC can do, but you can pay your fee off the CC anyway so I don't see the problem?

We do thanks. They mis-sale more than the banks, many encourage fraudulent complaints and most dont follow MOJ guidelines.

Why not charge them £25-£100 for making the complaint then. It only take a few minutes.

The important thing is that help, if needed, is available freely.

That's what people need to know and it is good that this forum makes people aware of this.

If you are purporting to post on behalf of a CMC, you need MSE's permission to post. If you do not have such permission, you are breaking forum rules.

You are the joke i'm afraid, this is a money saving website so no one is going to recommend paying for something that is free.

If you are then Owl Claimd should have checked this with you and drawn to your attention the fact that you would still owe them money, not buried it in the small print!!!

Its on page 1 of their terms and conditions in the same font size as the rest of the page so it is hardly 'in the small print'. For comparison, I got my motor insurance policy yesterday that came with a 78 page A5 booklet. If you are going to criticise a company, at least take the ten seconds to see if it is true.

What utter junk. The banks routinely sold products costing the public billions of pounds and you think that the CMC's mis-sell more than that, it's laughable.

'Most don't follow MoJ guidelines', do you have any statistical proof of this at all, because I think everyone on here would like to see it otherwise it is just a another myth.
