Yes, EAs registered with RM are permitted to use the RM logo on their advert materials, but I'd imagine it would appear in smaller print than the actual agent's name, though.
You could always do some research on topics before you rush to post here, of course.....
and you could always mind your own business instead of trying to be a smartie pants.
You could also read the other posts in the thread, say like #18 before passing judgement on others.0 -
I can see how frustrating it must be when this happens. I've also noticed the opposite happening sometimes-houses are sometimes still flagged as SSTC or U/O for some time after the offer has fallen through. A few of the houses I've saved on RM are available again but I imagine potential viewers would see the flag and not bother to view. Annoying for sellers.0

Is this Estate agents on a fishing expedition to get people to call them
As Whalster said, you think sales are bad, you should try looking at lettings on rightmove.
A huge proportion of the properties simply appear to be 'bait'. Some of them have stayed online for months even after I spoke to EAs about them and they told me that they had 'just gone'.
I spoke to one EA about it in person (not a particular offender) and they said that whilst they didn't manufacture property listings as bait, they would purposefully be very 'late' withdrawing a few choice properties to generate leads.
It became less of a problem as I moved up the price of rentals I was looking for over time, although I think I only once found a place from RM I actually let.
I think Rightmove miss a trick with their editorial policies here, because it would be a good tool for renting if there was more credibility to it.0 -
Our last house was still showing as *for sale* on RM around six months after we'd completed on the purchase. We only noticed it by chance and discovered it wasn't just one EA but two that had it advertised.
Neither of these were the EA we had bought through.....prior to us purchasing it had been on the market with just about every EA in town for a few months eachAs soon as we discovered it was still being advertised we called the EAs in questioned and it was removed.......

My partner and I have just rented a property and I was a bit surprised to see it appear on Rightmove with a different agent, a week or so after our tenancy was confirmed.
Just out of curiosity I called the new agent to book a viewing (as I was planning to call the original agent and ask them what was going on) only to be told that the flat had 'just gone'. I strongly suspect that they had copied the listing as they were using the exact same pictures and almost identical description. It seems to happen a lot with rentals, particularly if it's a nice-looking property.0 -
Yes, I found this too. A new property was listed on Rightmove on Xmas eve, 24/12, I get super excited as it fits our requirements exactly and is well within budget. Sent the agent an e-mail straight away asking for a viewing on 28/12 - no reply so thought they are probably closed over the festivities. On 2 Jan I ring up the agent only to be told - oh, that property has gone under offer! It is NOT listed so either on Rightmove NOR the Agent's own web-site. And even if it is - why didn't we even get a chance to view it!!!!???
I don't get it - there is not suppose to be shortage of buyers, so surely having something listed as available is only going to generate unnecessary phonecalls or e-mails to them.
Needless to say - IF we ever get to find our dream house and sell our current house, it won't be with that particular agent!0 -
In London, plenty of properties for sale don't make it onto right move before going under offer. It seems to take a few days from agreeing to market someone's home and getting all the photos done and descriptions written and up on right move, and in that time all the people who've rung up and asked if anything new's come in have arranged viewings and maybe put in offers.Saving for deposit: Finished! :j
House buying: Finished!
Next task: Lots and lots of DIY0 -
You need to set rightmove, zoopla etc. to show only properties listed that day. You can also set an alert up from this that will send them to your email as soon as they are listed.0
