estate agents don't want you phoning up about properties they are not selling either, but they are not always the most technical people, updating the internet has only very recently entered the estate agents job description, not all of them are particularly good at it.

I don't recall mentioning anything about Right Move paranoia or my details being farmed out to the NSA but I appreciate your input...

We are all busy people... if I put something up on an internet site to be sold, and it was then sold, and then I received lots of phone calls about said item from people who wanted to buy it when I didn't have it to sell (wasting both of our time), then I would probably remove it to prevent the calls...

I am pretty sure even the dimmest of Estate Agents would be able to handle the dark art of "updating the internet", especially as they all seem to be in their 20s and 30s...

The house we bought last year was not marked sstc. We'd been !!!!ed about so much that we threatened to withdraw our offer unless they updated right move. It worked, but probably not the wisest thing to do in hindsight.

A flat we sold still had SSTC on it for nearly 12 months after we completed.

This is fine as these can be easily excluded from the search results and I am cool with this. It's the ones that are not flagged even though they have been offered/sold/removed etc which are the annoying ones, as they are the ones that prompt the phonecall.

I thought Right Move were an Estate Agent?
It's possible that there is an estate agent called "Right Move", but it'd be a fairly daft name, given the ubiquity of the property listing portal with that name...

I could've sworn I'd seen signs with "Right Move" on them outside properties. Maybe I'm wrong. I often am. :p

No, Rightmove is a limited company which primarily runs a website upon which EAs and builders/developers can advertise the properties they have for sale.

Yes, EAs registered with RM are permitted to use the RM logo on their advert materials, but I'd imagine it would appear in smaller print than the actual agent's name, though.

You could always do some research on topics before you rush to post here, of course.....
