You have to laugh, although it's not obligatory. I've just had a response from BT to my email ...

    "Dear Sir

Thank you for your e-mail dated 3rd January, ‘14.
As I gather from the email that you are facing issues in downloading MYBT online bills on IE11. I have tried to call you on the landline number, since you were not available so sending an email response.

In this regard I would like to inform you that there is a compatibility issue with IE 11 and hence you are facing this problem."

Easy way out personified. Simply outstanding. BT, hang your heads in shame!

BT's support is often pretty hopeless, I'm afraid.

So, BT had an issue with IE11, which they have since no managed to work around, yet your are still blaming BT and trusting Microsoft?

    Hang your head in shame!

I should point out that I am a BT customer, but do not use Internet Explorer as it is susceptible to attacks which are less frequent on Firefox and other safe browsers.
    1. Have you tried to Google the answer?
    2. If you were in the other person's shoes, how would you react?
    3. Do you want a quick answer or better understanding?

BT doesn't play nice with IE11 for some reason. The BT Desktop Help page won't work in IE11, and there are reports that BT's webmail service is also flaky on the browser. Workaround is to use Firefox/Chrome or roll back to an older IE version (not recommended)

Any browser downloads when deleted run the risk of leaving loads of unwanted c r a p behind. I prefer to keep my install lean and clean thank you.

Portable apps will allow you to test out a browser without spoiling your lean install. If you don't like it you can just delete the directory and there will be no trace left on your computer - it doesn't affect the registry or any directories outside the folder you unzip it to.
