I agree, but there are plenty of places which just say things like 'join Amazon Prime and enjoy thousands of books from the Kindle Lending Library'. These will probably have a link or asterisk for Ts and Cs (which I DID read before starting the trial) but I had the impression originally that there could be more than one book per month, hence the OP.

The HP books are one of the best selling series in writing history and probably one of the most profitable as well so I'm not in the least bit surprised that the author wishes to keep hold of the rights as long as possible.
I don't think its about the money. She had said in interviews that she is not going to write any more books or anything else to do with Harry potter, he's retired. Then out comes a theme park. Then a website. And now more films. She's tried to write under another name.
But I've never heard of another franchise making their books so inaccessible and exclusive. I do wonder whether its her or Warner bros.0 -

I've just copied and pasted 'join Amazon Prime and enjoy thousands of books from the Kindle Lending Library' inot Google and no exact match turns up. Infact the first thing showing all the words is this thread.
I don't really think you can infact say that plenty of places say that!0 -

"Things like". Meaning like. Not "exactly the same as".
