Building Regs/ permission needed for a new downstairs toilet ?

I had a quick look through but I could find a similar situation so was unsure.
Fair enough.
If your council really do want £300 before even speaking to you, that's disgraceful. The building control people at my LA (West Berkshire) have been really helpful every time I've phoned them - obviously have to pay at the point of submitting things for approval, but they've advised me what I need to do FOC.
Sure you didn't just catch somebody on a really bad day? :rotfl:0 -
I think it would be a good idea to call again, different people deal with calls differently, I know it coz a very good friend worked for council in call center. Worth giving a try.0

I have seen this before and I believe the only part that I think would apply would be the section covering the 45 degree rule. As our existing porch does not contravene this rule then the new one wont either as we do not want to increase the size of the porch
So where do you intend to put the toilet?
Are you having a toilet and hand basin in the porch and you'll close the blinds when you take a dump?
3 square metres you say. That's two for the toilet and one to open the front door.0 -
I'm only here while I wait for Corrie to start.
You get no BS from me & if I think you are wrong I WILL tell you.0
