Morning diary land
Right I have checked accounts and we're ok for now. Pay day tomorrow so just sitting tight for that.
I have however been thinking.....drumroll, or rolling of the eyes, whichever suits. I've decided to overpay my student loan and get the final balance paid off with my (hopeful to get) bonus in March 2015. There's a couple of reasons for me taking this rash decision. 1 it will free up £146 a month. 2 the feeling of elation for paying something off and closing it out will be huge and sometimes that is the best motivator. 3 I like how it makes my spreadsheet look.
So the plan in, between now and March 2015 I will make overpayments where I can and keep a record of them as no doubt the SLC will not be the best at maintaining overpayments!
All monies from sales will also head that way.Debt - CCV £3792

I have now set up a direct debt of £25 a month (don't want to overstretch myself too soon in case I can't keep it up) and that will take me down to £700 ish owing in March 2015. That will be cleared with my bonus so sounding good so far (assuming I still have this job then :S
!)
I shall update my sig to work towards that goal. Good stuff.Debt - CCV £3792

Good morning
It is pay day! This is a good and a bad thing!
Ok so this is the situ. New 0% card paid (manual) - just paying the minimum on that.
CCV is the beast and despite transferring some of the hefty balance to 0% I was still charged an almighty £125 ish interest. Next month's projection is similar. This is not good but I have to grin and bear it for a few months until I free up some space to use as 0% BT and shuffle the cards around.
So this month I am on a very tight budget and I see it as a challenge to stick to it. Given I have no OD I am going to pay for everything I can in cash as I feel safer that way.
Non standard outgoings this month are little boy's birthday party - hopefully I will have an already bought/not used gift in the house I can give to him, I know I have a card. Also a 40th however I am hoping DH will buy this as it's on his side. That's this weekend.
Wormer for hoss needed. Might do worm count as cheaper.
I'm also on a course for a couple of days meaning I won't be using my car so saving a touch on diesel there. Other than the above I have no planned outgoings but hope to find a small bit of extra income. I'm starting to get used to swagbucks now and also have a few things to ebay so hopefully that can make some money towards paying for the catalogue bill as I totally forgot about that. I can use my savings but would prefer not to.
The grocery budget is £200 (2 adults, 2 kids) so I need to figure that out. We've been eating lots from the freezer (freezer surprise) and I must admit I've gone off freezing stuff.
Right another manic day ahead (already had 2 hours of it) so best get off.Debt - CCV £3792

Is it still the same day as when I posted earlier!!!! So much done but so little achieved.
I've been on swagbucks over lunch - starting to get my head around it tho I feel I better achieve target soon and get £5 or I will get bored. If it helps to pay off debt quicker though then it's worth it.Debt - CCV £3792

Goodness I am tired. Running a few reports now with the initial plan of staying up late to complete them but it appears my mind and body have other ideas. I am shattered! Think I will turn in and start again nice and early in the morning, hopefully refreshed.Debt - CCV £3792

Morning world.
Long time no update. Simple reason - far too busy at work but that's stopped now as the work's done and in. 2nd half of the year planning starts now.
Money wise, being so busy meant I've not over spent and groceries are on target however I may have under estimated my fuel for the month.
I need to pay Next payment this month too so I shall shuffle some savings and do that. Today is a day of getting organised as I feel completely out of sync with myself - everything's been left for the last few days whilst I've finalised my work.
Anyway - I'm back!Debt - CCV £3792

Fnally, we're heading in the right direction - a totally green month meaning all the debt are going down! Also SUB 13k on loan!!!! Wahoo! Really pleased there. This month's the first month that I will overpay SLC too so that should start falling a bit quicker too.
Only budgetted spends forseen until next pay, which of course life may interefer with but I shall deal with that as and when.Debt - CCV £3792
